YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — The Youngstown Business Journal & Professional Women’s Club will honor Becky Dearing Wall, CEO of Dearing Compressor & Pump Co. as its Woman of the Year Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Antone’s Banquet Center, Boardman.
Recognition of Dearing is part of the organization’s observance of National Business Women’s Week, says Lisa Dickson, past president of the Professional Womens Club. Wall was chosen this year’s recipient because of her role in the growth and profitability Dearing Compressor, Boardman, has achieved since 2005.
Since then, Dickson noted, Dearing Compressor has grown to more than 200 employees from 40.
Besides her role in the growth and success of Dearing Compressor, Wall in involved her community and in 2013 was campaign chairwoman of United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley.
James B. Dietz, managing partner of Friedman & Rummell Co. LPA, will present Dearing with her award at the dinner.
“National Business Women’s Week is a time to celebrate the success of business and professional women,” said Robin Fowler, president of Youngstown Business & Professional Women, in a prepared statement.
“Becky’s accomplishments in the manufacturing industry along with her passion and commitment to those in need in our community made her the perfect choice for 2014 Woman of the Year.”
